Terms of use

For Printlabs Custom, operated by Printlabs GmbH, Neuseser Str. 19, 90455 Nürnberg.

Draft. The description of what the software does is accurate; the legal wording is pending review by Printlabs’ legal adviser.

1. What this service is

Printlabs Custom connects an Etsy shop to production at Printlabs GmbH. It imports paid, unshipped Etsy orders, lets you link each product variant to a Printlabs product and its artwork, submits orders for production, and reports the shipment back to Etsy so the buyer is notified.

The service is provided to customers who have production products manufactured by Printlabs. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by Etsy, Inc.

2. Your account and your connections

You are responsible for your account credentials, for the Etsy shop you authorise and for the Printlabs API key you provide. You may disconnect either at any time from the setup page, and you may delete your account, which deletes your orders, buyer addresses and uploaded files along with it.

You must have the right to use any artwork you upload. Printlabs does not review artwork for third-party rights.

3. What the app does on your behalf

With your authorisation the app reads your paid, unshipped orders and your listings, and writes exactly one thing back to Etsy: the shipment and tracking number for an order that has shipped, which causes Etsy to mark the order shipped and notify the buyer. The app never creates, edits or deletes listings, and never contacts buyers directly.

Sending an order to production is an action you take. Once an order is in production it may be chargeable by Printlabs under your production agreement, independently of these terms.

4. Availability

The service depends on the Etsy API and the Printlabs API. Neither is under our control, and interruptions in either can delay imports, submissions or tracking updates. The service is provided without a guaranteed level of availability.

5. Your responsibility to check

Automation reduces manual work; it does not remove your responsibility for your own orders. You should check print files and addresses before sending an order to production, and check that orders needing attention have been dealt with.

6. Data protection

How data is handled is described in the privacy notice. Where Printlabs processes buyer data on your behalf, a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR applies between you and Printlabs GmbH.

7. Liability

Printlabs GmbH is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence, liability is limited to breaches of essential contractual obligations and to the damage typically foreseeable for this kind of contract. Liability under the Produkthaftungsgesetz remains unaffected.

8. Changes and termination

These terms may be updated; material changes will be announced in the app. You may stop using the service at any time by disconnecting or deleting your account.

9. Governing law

German law applies. Where permitted, the place of jurisdiction is Nürnberg.
